There are many options for whitening including In-Office Whitening using the Zoom! professional teeth whitening system from Philips, take home custom trays with prescription whitening gel, or over the counter whitening strips. All three work well and can get you to a whiter smile. The difference between them is how quickly they work. In-Office whitening is the fastest, taking only a few hours to achieve beautifully white teeth. In the middle are take home trays that can take a few days to achieve the desired level of brightness. Finally, over the counter whitening strips usually take weeks of treatment. The slower methods are generally used for people with gum recession or a history of sensitive teeth since they tend to cause less sensitivity.
Cosmetic bonding is usually a minimally invasive composite resin filling material that is placed over top of the tooth to reshape small defects or cover over light stains or discoloration.
Veneers are a conservative option to make larger changes to the shape and color of the front teeth while maintaining the majority of healthy tooth structure.
